Background: Used in China for centuries according to records over 200 years old. Classified by Shen Nong, who founded Chinese herbal medicine, as a superior herb. Its Chinese name, Huang Qi, means "yellow leader" because of the yellow hue of the root.
Applications: Antiviral/Endurance/Fluid Maintenance
Antiviral: Its warming qualities help the circulation of the body, which means it works to ease cold symptoms or other viruses that enter the body.
